About This Ministry
In this ministry, we believe in providing for the essentials for orphans—such as food, education, clothing, and love—is a life-changing act that lays the foundation for a brighter, more hopeful future. These children, often left without the guidance and support of a family, rely on the compassion of others to meet their basic needs. Nutritious food helps them grow strong and healthy, education opens doors to opportunities they might never have imagined, and proper clothing offers both comfort and dignity. But above all, the gift of love and emotional support nurtures their sense of belonging and self-worth. Together, these essentials don't just improve their lives—they transform them.

About the Siaya Community

Siaya is a county located in the western part of Kenya, within the former Nyanza Province. It borders Lake Victoria to the south and is predominantly inhabited by the Luo community. The county’s capital is Siaya Town, and it has a population of approximately 1 million people as of the 2019 census. The local economy mainly relies on fishing, agriculture—particularly the cultivation of maize, sugarcane, and millet—and small-scale trade. Siaya is culturally rich, with strong ties to Luo traditions, and is notably the ancestral home of former U.S. President Barack Obama’s father. The county also holds historical significance in Kenya’s political landscape, having produced influential leaders such as Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, a key figure in the country’s independence movement.
